SUSTAINED INVESTIGATION

What would a song look like if it were a person? More specifically, what would the enneagrams look like in real life? Enneagrams describe nine different personality types that are defined by a particular core belief. According to the Enneagram Institute, the nine types help us “to see ourselves at a deeper, more objective level and can be of invaluable assistance on our path to self-knowledge.” The band ‘Sleeping At Last’ created a song for each enneagram type.
Using clay as my medium, I will create at least four busts that each represent the Sleeping at Last songs. The bust is how I think the personality described in the song is would look based on the emotions and melody. My goal through this piece is for viewers to better empathize with the types and showcase the weaknesses the enneagram type might face. I will take the song’s lyrics and try to represent a specific line within the aspect of the bust.
